The Cancer and Blood Disorders Program’s medical staff consists of five physicians:

The physicians are members of a group called ‘Specially For Children. Each brings dedication, expertise and caring to our program.
In addition to the specialties of pediatric hematology/oncology, the Blood and Cancer Program consults physicians from a variety of fields. These include pediatric surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists and other sub-specialties in pediatric medicine such as infectious disease, neurology, intensive care and cardiology—all available at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
In collaboration with the physicians, a dedicated team of experienced health professionals is available at the Dell Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program. Registered nurses, child life specialists, social workers, chaplains, dieticians and others work together to provide individualized care to meet the medical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical needs of our patients and families.
In addition to providing outpatient and inpatient chemotherapy and medical care, our team coordinates care with the Austin Cancer Center for radiation therapy, home health agencies for treatment options in the home, and the Any Baby Can/Candlelighters for patient and family assistance and support.
